Besides new smartphones and smartwatches, Huawei launches an amazing notebook – the MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition. The Chinese tech giant has introduced a charming competitor to Apple’s recently released pocket-friendly MacBook Neo.
Starting with the design, the Huawei MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition is not merely a new software variant, but a completely fresh PC for the young generation.
It’s a thin and mini PC that comes in three beautiful shades: Wild Green, Cherry Blossom Pink Gold, and Space Gray. Here, the pink color focuses on female customers.
Unlike many other notebooks in the Huawei family, the new MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition launches with a color-matching keyboard design, housing round keys.
Though if you still prefer the old design with subtle squarish buttons, you can go for the gray variant. The Green and Pink shades hold the charming round buttons.

On the flip side, the laptop has an innovative 1.5mm key travel and a D-shell design with nearly 5,000 polka-dot air vents. It is 14.5mm thin and weighs 1.33kg (1.32kg for the square keyboard version).
Huawei MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition has a 14.2-inch OLED coupled with PaperMatte technology. Interestingly, the company has set a new benchmark in terms of laptop display this time by using high-end specs for affordable PCs.
MateBook 14 offers a 2.8K display resolution that makes it clearly visible even in sunlight. It further supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 3:2 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB, 100% P3 color gamut, 1.07 billion colors, and 60 nits maximum brightness.
Internal Parameters:
The company has seeded the Kirin X90 in the MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition, paired with the HarmonyOS 6.1 software system. Further, the PC has a TDP of 40W alongside a shark fin dual-fan cooling setup + D10 large diameter heat pipe.
