Huawei has recently upgraded its NearLink E1.0 and E2.0 support list and revealed which devices are compatible with the advanced wireless technology as well as delivering a prominent connectivity experience to users. Let’s check all eligible models.
Before proceeding, let’s understand the difference between NearLink E1.0 and E2.0.
NearLink E1.0 and E2.0 are generations of Huawei’s short-range wireless communication technology. While the former version is a basic connectivity setup, the latter is an optimized connection with NearLink Audio and L2HC support.
E1.0 focuses on general connectivity and data sharing. Meanwhile, E2.0 is mainly responsible for high-fidelity audio, video, and advanced positioning of the device.
The first-gen NearLink version can deliver up to 6x Bluetooth with 12Mbps in SLE mode. Whereas the E2.0 brings 16Mbps physical rate with 8x audio improvements.
Overall, the NearLink E2.0 is an enhanced version of the E1.0 with 8 times higher transmission rates, 2 times wider coverage, and 5 times stronger signal performance. The company can push this capability to its devices via software updates.
