Samsung has finally kick-started the most-awaited software rollout – One UI 8.5 stable version for its flagship devices. Even though the company took a lot longer to push the new iteration than expected, good news is that it’s now live for Galaxy users.
Following long months of beta testing, the One UI 8.5 stable update is rolling out for top-tier devices. The version is here with a plethora of new features + AI capabilities.
Besides, Galaxy phone users will observe major enhancements in the UI part. The highlight of this update is Ambient Design, which elevated the screen’s conditions.
Ambient Design is capable of easily getting merged into the background and focuses on reducing visual clutter + act as an obstructive layer without ruining display content.
One UI 8.5 stable update is based on the Android 16 QPR2 version. It is now rolling out for both beta and non-beta users. Beta users will receive a phased rollout, whereas the non-beta users will gain a full firmware, bigger in size (GB).

The One UI 8.5 software update is initially stepping into South Korea, while it will reach other regions in the coming days. In case you have any of the above-listed devices, you can get the new update via Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install.
After 8.5, the South Korean company will jump to the next major upgrade – One UI 9. Let’s see how much time we have to wait for the Android 17-based software iteration.
