Huawei and China UnionPay have recently partnered to introduce new and AI payment features to devices. Both parties have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen on May 7 to bring benefits to their customers with the help of technology.
China UnionPay is a leading financial service corporation in China. It contains a ruling card payment network and primarily operates an interbank network connecting all ATMs across China and offers debit, credit, online, and mobile payment solutions.
In the current scenario, Huawei and China UnionPay have joined hands and released a strategic plan for independent and innovative AI-powered payment features.
Note that it’s not the first time that the companies have collaborated with each other. The onset of this cooperation began in 2020 and since then, both firms have worked together in the following areas:
- Strengthening the foundation of system security
- Deepening Cooperation in payment conditions
- Expanding global business layout
- Exploring AI applications
Now, both Huawei and China UnionPay are once again together, aiming for an open and leading system network in the payment scenarios. They will likely optimize the ICT infrastructure construction and operation capabilities for enhanced transactions.
Simply put, the two parties will now focus on ICT infrastructure upgrades, a few innovative applications of AI, better payment features for devices, global-level expansion, and HarmonyOS ecosystem development.
Moreover, they will unlock a safer, smarter, and more convenient payment service system using Innovative + AI Action Plans. These strategies will boost the intelligent changes of financial services.
