Honor Magic 9 series will be a significant part of the 2026 flagship smartphone lineups and it is expected to bring a brand-new PRO MAX model this year with double camera benefits. Perhaps users will see a new level of mobile photography this time!
Apple was the first brand to introduce the Pro Max smartphone in the market. Later, Xiaomi followed its rival’s footsteps and launched the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max in 2025.
Mate 80 series also played the name game and showcased Huawei’s first-ever Pro Max model on the stage with 8000nits brightness and the powerful Kirin 9030 Pro chip.
Looks like Honor is next in the queue to follow the “Pro Max” trend and bring its own version with interesting upgrades and eye-catching tech capabilities. The company is rumored to be working on Honor Magic 9 Pro Max with top-notch camera features.
Camera: Double Benefits
Details running on the Chinese social media suggest that the device will show a dual-200MP camera setup with the latest imaging sensors and superior tech solutions. This framework may have a 200MP main camera and a 200MP zoom sensor.
Further inputs hint that the company is testing two options for the main lens: OV52B and OVB0D. The latter has a 1/1.12-inch sensor size with the second-generation LOFIC + DCG technology for enhanced dynamic range and better highlight/shadow.
Moreover, Honor has joined hands with ARRI, a German cinematic camera firm, to bring its imaging solutions to its upcoming flagship lineup. These tech capabilities will not only focus on stunning shots but also on improved video shooting.
However, all these revelations are still revolving around the doubt sphere. The Chinese tech giant hasn’t confirmed these points or revealed anything about the upcoming top-tier Magic phones yet. Hence, it is better to take these rumors with a grain of salt.
