Xiaomi 17 Max is coming officially to the consumer market and ahead of its launch, a new leak has revealed some interesting Leica-powered camera traits and imaging features of this flagship device. Let’s check on these details one by one.
The President of Xiaomi Group – Lu Weibing has confirmed a 200MP primary camera for the Xiaomi 17 Max, which is the Leica-based imaging sensor with top capabilities.
At the same time, the executive shared three sample photos released showing how the new phone will capture your daily moments with extra beauty and sharp realism.
Coming to the features, Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation revealed the key specs of the Xiaomi 17 Max. Starting with the design, the device will have a 6.9-inch flat screen with an ultra-large right-angle + metal middle frame that reflects a slim profile.

Even though the camera design is quite simple – a square module. Though this framework carries the first 200MP Leica main camera with f/1.6 aperture, a 17mm ultrawide-angle lens, and a 70mm periscope sensor with 3x zoom level.
Inputs reveal that the new camera uses a multi-frame fusion algorithm, which boosts dynamic range, details clarity, and low-light performance. It comes with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size that aims for extreme detail retention and can crop images without compromising image quality.
