Huawei smartwatches can soon get support for a new Android messaging app – Telegram! The chat-app company has announced a special wearable application version that is not only compatible with watchOS and WearOS but also with other platforms.
On June 11, Telegram shared a new blog confirming the launch of its watch app version. One can now use the application directly from their wearable, instead of just switching between phones, tablets, or the PC version.
As per the official details, the new Telegram app can also support HUAWEI smartwatches. But the corresponding device users have to take certain steps in this aspect.
“If you’re using a Huawei watch and can’t run the Wear OS app, ask nicely – our developers will make an app for you too. If you’re using something truly exotic, watch this or make your own app.”
Developers with a Huawei smartwatch or any other OS-based wearable rather than WearOS or watchOS need to make their own Telegram app version. They can tap the link above and choose from three kinds of APIs: Bot, TDLib, and Gateway.
TDLib or Telegram Database Library is a perfect tool to build your own Telegram app version. It is designed for third-party developers, making it easy to build fast, secure, and feature-rich applications with many new features and customizations.
This particular API supports all Telegram features and makes developing an app version for any platform easier. Whether it’s Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, or any other system – the open-source is compatible with all programming languages.

In terms of features, users can send text and voice messages, listen to voice messages, view media or video messages, read long texts, preview locations, send stickers, and manage their chats accordingly. One can even pin chats, mute or delete them.
