Rumored 7-inch Honor phone to feature 185Hz flat display

Honor has been buzzing in hot topics for a 7-inch phone, and the latest leak suggests that the company could use an 185Hz flat display for this device. While the name of the handset remains a mystery, its key specifications have started emerging online.

Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation reported that Honor has a 7-inch phone in the pipeline with a 185Hz high-refresh-rate display. The company is expected to use a flat screen for the rumored handset, ensuring a better viewing experience.

The tipster said that in addition to the WIN 2 series coming later this year with a 6.89-inch screen and 2nm chipset, the company is also working on a special 7-inch smartphone with an ultra-large flat display panel.

WIN series debuted last year with a flat ultra HD screen featuring an 185Hz refresh rate and 6000-nit brightness. The high-refresh-rate ensures an immersive tactile experience.

185Hz refresh rate can update the screen 185 times per second. It provides ultra-fluid scrolling and highly precise motion tracking and reduces motion blur as well as input lags significantly for superior gaming precision.

Meanwhile, swiping, scrolling, and UI animations appear incredibly crisp and smoother, preventing micro-stutters or ghosting compared to 120Hz refresh rate display devices.

The tipster said that Honor really understands what consumers need. A new 185Hz display handset could unlock new gaming and viewing capabilities for a better experience.

According to the leak, the company will likely unveil the new 7-inch flat-screen handset soon. However, the exact timeline details are missing from the frame.
