Xiaomi has launched the Watch 5 wearable with some tremendous tools and features for users. While the device follows a neat and subtle design, it brings dynamic changes in terms of health and fitness functionalities. How? Let’s find out!
The Chinese OEM has launched the Xiaomi Watch 5 in two variants: the standard model and the eSIM model. The first one features simple calling support, whereas the second version enables users to opt for cellular calls and messaging.
Speaking of the design, the Xiaomi Watch 5 comes with a double-sided artificial sapphire crystal glass. Meanwhile, the unibody stainless steel case covers the dial and protects it from scratches, falls, and other risk factors.
Watch 5 has a 1.54-inch AMOLED screen with 2.6mm ultra-narrow bezels. The display supports a 480 x 480 pixels resolution, 78.28% screen-to-body ratio, and 1500 nits maximum brightness. It further brings a titanium 3D print strap.

Besides, consumers can choose from khaki green fluoroelastomer, black fluoroelastomer, genuine leather, and a 3D printed titanium strap for this wearable.
In terms of battery life, the wearable can run for 6 days with a 930mAh cell pack. But the saving mode can power up the device for 18 days. It packs a dual-core architecture with Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and Hengxuan BES2800BP processor.
And here comes the highlight of this smartwatch: the EMG sensor. Watch 5 is the first wearable to support an electromyography sensor. It can test the health of muscles and the nerves controlling them by measuring their electrical activity.

Further, the smartwatch features an ECG heart rate sensor, 150+ sports modes, and a Super AI feature that enables users to easily operate certain tasks without opening the smartphone. One can use apps like Alipay/Maps as per their choice.
Xiaomi Watch 5 eSIM variant supports independent answering of phone calls, online listening to music, and even quick payments. It will work as an independent wrist phone on your hand.
Price: The simple Xiaomi Watch 5 Bluetooth version is available for 1999 yuan, whereas the eSIM variant comes at 2299 yuan. In case you are willing to purchase the Titanium 3D Strap, then you have to pay 799 yuan.
