Xiaomi is busy distributing the HyperOS 3.0 stable upgrade based on the Android 16 and 15 versions, but it might skip some of the iconic phones in this phase. Perhaps a few devices may simply move out of this league despite getting early beta builds.
HyperOS 3.0 has covered many handsets in the past few months. From top flagships to the entry-level category, all eligible models have tasted the new software flavor.
Those devices that have missed this upgrade will soon receive it in the form of the Android 15 upgrade with a range of exciting additions and smarter AI capabilities.
Although some phones might not get the stable HyperOS 3.0 treatment, as Xiaomi is seemingly planning to skip the major iteration for them. A new input shows the software status for a few models, which has been intact for months.
For instance, the Xiaomi 13 Lite and POCO F5/Pro haven’t received HyperOS 3.0 beta for 2 months. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 13T is still stuck in the internal alpha testing phase.
Apart from the global models, Civi 2, Redmi Note 12 Turbo, Note 12T Pro, and the K60 phones are also waiting for the new version, but have not received any beta builds.
The reason behind this software testing halt for these models is unclear at present. However, it shows that the company might not bring the newest software features for these handsets in the future. You can check the device list below:
