Honor is introducing a new game feature for its flagship smartphones. The company has recently announced a new gaming tool that will enhance the overall experience for its users. Let’s check how this feature will work and where to access it.
Feng – the Game Development Engineer at Honor, revealed that the flagship smartphones will soon receive a new “Game Pre-Update” feature. The new add-on will enable the device’s system to auto-detect and download updated game resource packages.
Simply put, the feature will pre-update all the gaming apps you have in your Honor phone automatically when it detects a new version is pending. The best part is – it will take the action during the off hours, when you aren’t playing games.
The executive said:
“Once enabled, the system will automatically detect and download updated game resource packages during off-peak hours at night, allowing you to open the game faster.”
Honor phone users can access the feature in the App Store. Open the app and go to the Game Center, and tap on the My Profile section. Now hit the Settings tab and select the Automatic Updates option (Download and Install apps).
One can further select whether they want to use this feature over a simple Wi-Fi network or a mobile network, along with a hotspot that will consume your data.
The feature will act as a game assistant or game manager tool that will make sure to upgrade all the gaming apps on your device and keep them up-to-date with new changes and improvements.
Honor didn’t reveal how many devices support the new game pre-update tool at present. Though it may soon be available to all phones and other handsets.
