Huawei has recently confirmed a new audio quality improvement update for the standard Nova 15 phone. The upcoming HarmonyOS updates will bring NearLink Audio tech support, enhancing the sound experience for the specific device users.
Earlier, a tipster mentioned that about the distribution of NearLink Audio feature for eligible Huawei devices. He revealed that the top-end Nova 15 models have received the new technology with the recent HarmonyOS software update.
At the same time, the tipster suggested the respective audio improvement for the standard Huawei Nova 15 as well. Though things were unofficial at that moment.
Now, Huawei officially listed the Nova 15 on the NearLink Audio feature support list. The company has also announced that the device will soon get the particular audio capability with future OTA updates.
The NearLink Audio feature is better than Bluetooth technology. It offers stronger and more stable wireless connections than the traditional Wi-Fi or Bluetooth options. Its key highlights include the following:
- Ultra-low latency of 1/30th of a millisecond
- Faster audio transmission rate of 16Mbps
- Polar code technology
- 60% reduction in power consumption
Huawei has recently served the NearLink Audio tech support to the Pura 80 smartphones with the HarmonyOS 6.0.0.130 update. Perhaps the upcoming version will bring the respective audio feature for the Nova 15 base variant.
Devices like Pura X, Mate 70, Mate X6, and the series below don’t support the NearLink Audio technology. Though Huawei might expand the feature support to more compatible handsets in the coming months.
