A new report reveals that Huawei has started alleviating the Mate 80 Pro Max production. The company is speedily increasing the Kirin 9030/Pro chip volume capacity. And it may soon put all the Mate 80 models back on the sale shelves.
However, there is still a delay twist!
The story begins in December 2025, when the Mate 80 series was tagged with the “out of stock” label. Huawei extended the delivery time due to tight supply situations.
For the particular month, the standard Mate 80 continued to maintain a strong sales momentum in the market while other siblings showed week shipments.
The reason behind this shortage was the limited production of the Kirin 9030 series chipsets. As a result, Huawei was unable to meet the market demand on time and decided to push the shipment date by some weeks or months.
But here comes the good news. Some tipsters and industry insiders said that Huawei is ready to alleviate the production of the top-end Mate 80 models, including the Pro Max variants. These phones will soon be open for purchase in the market.
Moreover, the company will provide sufficient Mate 80 units in online as well as offline stores, so users who want to buy it will no longer need to rush to buy it!
Supply Chain sources further mentioned that the Kirin 9030 series chips have entered the “ramp up” process. It will soon end the tight production problems for the company. Although the shipment may still see a slight delay.
Early inputs suggested that Huawei will start delivering the Mate 80 high-end models by February 8th, 2026. But some analysts noted that the short supply situation may take an entire quarter to show real changes and improvements.
It’s unclear when exactly Huawei will begin reselling the Mate 80 models in the market. Though we can expect positive results by the end of next month.
