Huawei seems to have a different strategy to boost its smartphone sales in 2026. The company was focusing on launching better products with enhanced chipsets and imaging technologies. Though looks like it has got some new plans this time.
Weibo tipster @SuperDimensional noticed that Huawei will use a unique smartphone sales strategy in 2026. Instead of primarily concentrating on the top flagships, it may shift its focus to the mid-to-low-range devices.
The tipster has mentioned a ratio of “1.2:1” in the leak. What exactly it means is still unclear. But based on the terms, the OEM may give more priority to the mid-to-low-end market.
Last year, the company used useful ways to gain attention in the market. Starting with the onset of 2025, Huawei launched the first Enjoy model with satellite features.
Pura X became the first foldable with a unique form factor and features like AI eye-tracking, stable HarmonyOS NEXT, and a wider screen to ease the viewing experience for users. It contributed significantly to the firm’s sales revenue.
Pura 80 Ultra entered the market with a switchable dual zoom camera. In addition, the best attention-seeker award goes to the Mate 80 Pro Max and its standard sibling. Huawei not only played the “name change” move but also implemented top-notch capabilities in the vanilla version, which have been missing for years.
Though this year, the company may enhance the quality of its mid-range and entry-level devices. It might seed more advancements to the Nova and Enjoy phones.
Besides, Huawei may expand the top-grade HarmonyOS features and new hardware-level upgrades to its budget-friendly handsets. What else can happen in this segment is currently uncertain. Hence, we have to wait for more revelations on this matter.
