Huawei recently conducted the HarmonyOS New Product Technology Event where it announced that the upcoming tablets and PCs won’t follow a single form factor. Rather, they would bring up on such a design that offers the best user experience.
During the conference held on May 20, Huawei said that to date, tablets and PCs have been limited to just one form factor that restricted their real usage for customers.
Although the company aims to develop an independent as well as controllable productivity foundation for its. Thus, it will likely bring major changes to large-screen devices.
Zhu Dongdong – the President of Huawei Consumer Business Group Tablet and PC Product Line, unveiled various new apps and services related to the large-screen devices that not only elevate multitasking but brings comfort to the fingertips.
Speaking of the MatePad Pro Max, Zhu said Huawei faced significant internal and external challenges and pressures while developing this product, because it was challenging a very mature commercial system and OS that users were using for a long time.
However, the aim was to skip traditional PC architecture that often blocks the user experience innovation. Zhu added that traditional PCs are more like an app-running platform. But in the AI era, the true value of HarmonyOS lies in rethinking the link between the OS and the device experience, making a smart foundation.
The same challenge applies to tablets as they are neither as productive as PCs nor as compact as smartphones. Though Huawei has found a solution to this bottleneck!
And hence, Zhu stated:
“Future devices will no longer be limited to a single form, like tablets are tablets, computers are computers, but will be able to switch freely and collaborate naturally according to user scenarios.”
In the current scenario, Huawei has integrated a new dual-mode into its new MatePad Pro Max that lets you do more than just watch shows. One can do these tasks:
- A simple four-finger swipe gesture allows for a one-click switch to the PC-level window management interface.
- Deal with complex documents while watching videos
- Professional Keyboard and Mouse
Let’s see how the company makes tablets and PCs more interesting as well as innovative in the future.
