HarmonyOS 6.0 has completed over 60 million installations, and Huawei is quite confident to see its self-developed OS reach the target of more than 100 million devices by the end of 2026. The company has once again shed light on this topic.
In March, the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business – Richard Yu said that the company is aiming to expand the HarmonyOS user base by achieving the 100 million devices milestone.
Now, the CEO of the Huawei Consumer Business Group Unit He Gang stated that the HarmonyOS 6 OS ecosystem can hit the “100 million devices” goal by the end of 2026.
The executive recently attended the HarmonyOS Partners Conference on the Huangpu River, where he communicated with partners over HarmonyOS achievements. At the same time, he announced good news about the 60 million milestone.
On the other hand, the chief executive mentioned that HarmonyOS is now inching closer to its new target – 100 million installations. He added that the operating system will likely achieve this ultimate goal by this winter.
He Gang said:
“HarmonyOS ecosystem is moving towards large-scale development and is expected to exceed the 100 million target this year. There are challenges ahead, but we are full of confidence! Looking forward to working hard with your partners to create an innovative and leading HarmonyOS experience in the AI era!”
The new wins in Huawei’s software world suggest that HarmonyOS has now become one of the most prominent options in the OS market. From phones to PCs and even smart vehicles, the OEM is using its self-made operating system in all aspects.
Since the company aims to capture one-third share of the OS market with its HarmonyOS, these installations will help it to gain more user base, giving a tough spot to Android and iOS.
