Honor is promising a new operating system for its devices coming in July this year – AgenticOS, powered by AI. The company has given a glimpse of what interesting changes the latest creation can bring at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2026 Shanghai.
Fang Fei – the President of Honor Product Line, today delivered a speech at the MWC 2026 Shanghai event. During her keynote, she shed light on the upcoming next-generation AI operating system called AgenticOS for Honor devices.
The executive revealed that AgenticOS will debut next month as the company’s ultimate operating system for devices. It will be entirely based on human needs.
She added that Honor has been planning such a creation for a long time, and the ongoing AI era is just perfect to showcase it. It will surround four major aspects:
- Intent-Driven: Driven by user intention across the entire process.
- Natural Interaction: Supporting multi-dimensional natural interaction with sound, gestures, eye contact, and movements.
- Proactive Intelligence: Possessing proactive intelligent capabilities across all scenarios with an AI agent as its native kernel
- Inherent Cross-Platform: Equipped with native cross-platform capabilities to seamlessly coordinate tens of thousands of different types of terminals.
Feng mentioned:
“Mobile devices are the essential path for AI to enter real life, and will no longer be merely containers for applications, but rather stages for intelligent agents. Mobile devices are undergoing a paradigm shift originating from AI, reshaping product form, human-computer interaction and system experience.”
Is AgenticOS a replacement for MagicOS 11? The answer at the moment is NO. However, what exact plans Honor has for this operating system and how it will link the new iteration to its devices is unclear at present. Let’s wait until next month to get clear details on this subject.
