Google has confirmed the expansion of Apple’s AirDrop feature to many more Android devices, including those from Samsung, Honor, and OPPO. The US tech giant continues to make switching and file-sharing easier between iOS and non-Apple models.
During the Android Show 2026, Google declared significant news for Honor, OPPO, and Samsung devices – AirDrop support! Starting with Android 17, top flagship phones will feature a seamless way to share files without any type of external service.
According to the information, the company is expanding Quick Share support with Apple’s AirDrop system across more handsets, making cross-platform sharing easier.
Pixel 10 series, Galaxy S26 smartphones, and more are already supporting this feature. But the OEM aims to push this capability to other eligible handsets with Android 17.
Simply put, the following are the flagship devices from Samsung, OPPO, OnePlus, and Honor Magic series that are next in line to receive the new AirDrop support:
