Honor and ByteDance were in rumor to initiate a collaboration as a new smartphone approach, but the Magic phone maker has recently refuted these talks, saying that the company is not having any kind of partnership with the TikTok parent firm.
An early rumor suggested that Honor and ByteDance are planning a major collaboration for the next-generation Doubao phone. The new cooperation will lead to surprising changes in the device, making it more appealing + convenient for its users.
Since the Chinese phone maker itself praised the Doubao smartphone last year in December, the rumors appeared true to some extent pointing out a big move.
But Honor has now responded to this matter clearly, saying that after an internal confirmation, the rumors are untrue. One of the company‘s officials stated:
“Honor is committed to providing consumers with high-quality products through technological innovation. If there is any progress in strategic cooperation, we will keep you informed through official channels as soon as possible.”
Whether the companies have paused the new approach completely or will come up with a new plan is currently unclear. For now, the phone maker is busy with the launch preparations of the Honor 600 series on the global stage.
Meanwhile, the tech giant will release its ultimate creation – ROBOT PHONE by the third quarter of this year. Let’s see what else Honor has in its back to offer consumers in 2026.
