Honor is not only performing well in its home ground but also doing great outside China, and according to recent data, the company’s smartphone sales share reached 112% YoY in Malaysia. Other top brands like Apple and Samsung follow.
Counterpoint recently released its analysis on the Q1 2026 smartphone sales share in Malaysia, in which Honor has achieved the top position with an 112% YoY growth rate.
The report reveals that Honor has ranked first in the Malaysian smartphone sales market for Q1 2026 with a 21% share. The company scored 112% year-over-year – the highest among the top five brands.
Magic phone maker has surpassed Apple and Samsung – thanks to devices like the Magic V6 foldable and the Magic 8 Pro. The flagship models received a lot of attention in the market for their outstanding durability and imaging technologies.
Digital series phones like the Honor 600e and the budget-friendly X-tagged handsets have been performing well in the low-to-medium-range smartphone market.
Inputs further reveal that Honor has performed exceptionally well in the Southeast Asian high-end market. The company itself said that one out of every tri-fold in the Malaysian smartphone sales segment belongs to Honor.
Apple has achieved the second rank with 20% of the market share and nearly 57% year-on-year growth. OPPO is in third place with a market share of 17%. Though the company is seeing a decline of 29% in the sales segment compared to last year.
Samsung has also slipped to 0.5% YoY and owns 13% of the market share. The fifth rank on the listing goes to Xiaomi with a market share of 13% and a 33% decline in sales.
