Huawei is rolling out women-based health and fitness features to its sporty Fit 5 watches. The respective wearable lineup already supports many iconic and helpful capabilities for day-to-day life. But this time, the focus is on the female’s wellbeing.
The tech giant recently announced to expand its health and fitness app ecosystem for the Watch Fit 5 series. This move will unlock more useful and valuable benefits for wearable users.
Under the new strategy, Huawei will introduce new women-focused health and fitness features for the Fit 5 watches. The company partnered with three third-party app firms, including Period Tracker, Clue, and the Ginger Club, to deliver further enhancements.
Period Tracker and Clue are reproductive health tracking applications. These applications monitor monthly cycles, predict future periods, track fertility, and detect moods, skin temperature, cramps, and more.
In addition, Clue can integrate with the Huawei Health app and bring sleep data and other body metrics to provide a more precise cycle analysis and the flow level to the smartwatch, without the need to dive into the smartphone.

Ginger Club is a personalized running and fitness app specifically for women. It adjusts the training programs as per your lifestyle and goals with unique plans based on your menstrual cycle, daily energy levels, and overall progression.
Both Clue and Ginger Club offer a subscription package that unlocks even more benefits. For instance, you can arrange your running plans as per your cycle’s phases. It also provides real-time pace, heart rate, and recovery data to users.
HUAWEI WATCH FIT 5 Series users or buyers will now receive an exclusive three-month premium subscription, worth €15, to “Life: Period Tracker” and a 3-month trial to Clue Plus for absolutely free. One can download these apps via Huawei AppGallery.
Note that this new health feature expansion is currently available for the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series. Though the company may expand these features to more wearables in the time ahead.
