After the Pura X Max debut, Honor is seemingly ready to join the wide-screen foldable pool, and it may follow Huawei’s latest creation in terms of display sizes. A new piece of information has surfaced online, briefing another broad folding smartphone.
Wiebo leaker @DigitalChatStation revealed that a new wide-screen foldable is in the works. Even though the tipster didn’t disclose the device’s name, many netizens predicted that the new creation belongs to Honor.
The latest leak mentioned that the speculated Honor wide foldable will likely follow the Huawei Pura X Max‘s screen sizes. There could be slight changes in the numbers. Although the overall display layout can look identical to that of Pura X Max.
Honor’s first wide-screen foldable is testing two display panels: one for the internal and another for the external. The inner or main screen may measure 7.6 inches, while the cover screen could be of 5.5 inches – somewhat similar to Huawei’s device.

For reference, the Pura X Max features a unique wide-folding design with two high-quality OLED displays. The first one is the inner flexible fold screen of 7.7 inches. The second of the is the external panel with 5.4 inches and 3500 nits peak brightness.
Apart from the display, the new wide-screen folding phone will likely use the 2nm chipset – Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series. Regarding the launch time, the tipster mentioned that Honor’s first broad foldable may debut in the first half of 2027.
If true, Huawei may continue to remain the champion in the wide foldable race for the next few months. Its continuation as a champ depends on the release of Samsung and Apple’s wide foldable handset scheduled for this year.
