Huawei has launched China’s first 5G-A smart business network jointly with Qingdao Mobile. Both parties have completed the large-scale upgrade of the respective intelligent network verification in areas like Licun, May Fourth Square, and more.
Qingdao Mobile has developed more than 24000 5G base stations. These are primarily based on the 5G-A network fully covering the core urban areas as well as major transportation routes.
Due to the strong growth of real-time services like live-streaming, e-commerce platforms, remote work, and high-definition video watching – the traditional network structures struggle to ensure resource + user experience efficiency.
Thus, operators used to face frequent issues with video and SMS congestion or voice service interruptions. Consequently, the wireless communication sector required accelerated evolution that is predictable, reliable, and evaluable.
And the Huawei 5G-A smart business network technology is one such attempt. Both the Chinese OEM and Qingdao Mobile collaborated to complete the large-scale 5G-A network deployment at thousands of sites. It can now achieve 700Mbps even in typical environments like densely populated areas and coastal scenic areas.
Besides, the fused 2.6G and 4.9G multi-band networks have set a replicable benchmark for the large-scale construction of next-gen mobile communication in China.
Overall, the new 5G-A smart business network brings two improvements – the eligible devices automatically identify different service needs and accurately resolve existing issues like waste of traditional network resources + poor experience.
At the same time, it can achieve a highly reliable experience across multiple scenarios and services. It also brings a significant improvement to consumer businesses and office-related scenarios.
