Huawei Nova 16 series smartphones are in the making and it looks like the company has already registered these handsets on a certification database. A new leak suggests that the sub-flagship lineup has started inching towards the launch platform.
DigitalChatStation has recently mentioned that Huawei has certified a new flagship-grade tablet with a subtle charging capacity and improved satellite communication tech.
In addition, the tipster said that the company has registered the Huawei Nova 16 series on a certification database alongside new headphones. After the Pura 90 handsets, the OEM is ready to unveil another set of devices for its consumers.
The tipster didn’t share the certification listing or any other details about the new smartphone lineup and the mystery audio wearables. However, it points out that Nova 16 devices have completed the filing process and are ready for their launch.

Just like other Huawei smartphone lineups, the Nova 16 series will also say goodbye to its Ultra variant in favor of a PRO MAX model. Apart from the name, the imaging setup is going to be a key highlight of the new-gen Nova handsets.
Nova 16 models could bring a new-gen multispectral sensor on both front and back sides. Moreover, rumors have it that the 2026 Nova phones will bring a prominent design upgrade over the previous-generation models.
Battery and chipset segments of the Nova 16 series may also witness a new change this time in terms of performance. Other changes are under wraps at present.
Huawei has just unveiled the Pura 90 phones. Hence, it’s unlikely to see the Nova 16 handsets on the launch stage anytime soon. Though the OEM may debut it by the end of the second quarter of this year.
