Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max takes on Magic 8 with CIPA 7.0 camera tech

Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max welcomes industry-level camera capabilities, and this segment also includes the CIPA 7.0 technology. With this top-grade image stabilization function, Huawei has taken on the Honor Magic 8 Pro, featuring a CIPA 6.5 level.

CIPA refers to the Camera & Imaging Products Association. It is a standard in the imaging technology that indicates whether a phone’s camera can make up for a handshake.

Levels like 6.5 or 7.0 in CIPA technology suggest that the smartphone camera can now compensate for hand shake up to 6.5 stops slower than traditional imaging sensors.

Thus, the CIPA level hints at improvements in telephoto and night shots with pro-grade stabilization. It claims that the phone can make handheld zoomed photos or videos sharper and much clearer.

Magic 8 series is the first smartphone lineup to sport the industry-leading CIPA 6.5 level image stabilization with a 200MP Ultra Night Telephoto + 50MP primary snapper to reduce blur in low-light as well as high-zooming conditions.

But the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max is here with CIPA 7.0 level, pushing back the Magic 8 Pro in the camera race. Besides, the flagship brings three industry-leading solutions:

  • Industry-first 200-megapixel RYYB sensor
  • 3-in-1 super-focusing prism
  • Chip-level 200MP RAW domain real-time processing technology

Pura 90 Pro Max is the first smartphone in the industry with a 3-in-1 super-focusing prism design. This implementation achieves CIPA 7.0 image stabilization – the highest level in the industry to date!

In addition, the new camera design shortens the module length by 20% than the traditional imaging structures. Thus, you get clearer shots without any compromises.

On the other hand, the chip-level 200MP RAW domain real-time process is capable of improving clarity in 20x telephoto video by 124% over other 200MP phones.

Apart from clearer visuals, the Pura 90 Pro Max also offers long-distance voice enhancement. In other words, it can record sound up to 10 meters away, enabling easy recording even from a distance.
