Huawei Pura X Max has debuted as the wide foldable champion in the market but it looks like its Collector’s Edition is selling better than the vanilla version. A new market report reveals the sales figures of the recently released Pura folding smartphone.
RBObservation on Weibo revealed that the Huawei Pura X Max Collector’s Edition is selling better in the Chinese foldable phone market than its standard sibling.
The market analyst also reported the shipments of both wide foldable units. Per the details, Huawei has sold 218500 Pura X Max units in the market to date. Meanwhile, the Collector’s Edition score has reached 265700 units – more than the base version.
Details reveal that the Huawei Pura X Max has made 200800 unit shipments as of the 25th week of this year. On the other hand, the Collector’s Edition sales are 251300 units.
Both models together had crossed 450000 units. However, the notable part is that the expensive Collector’s Edition has made better sales in the past few months compared to the standard model. The overall shipment gap is 50500 units.
That’s a surprising fact, as the starting price of the Pura X Max is 10999 yuan and the Collector’s Edition costs 12999 yuan. Both variants have two RAM + storage options:
Pura X Max
- 12GB + 256GB = 10999 yuan
- 12GB + 512GB = 11999 yuan
Pura X Max Collector’s Edition
- 16GB + 512GB = 12999 yuan
- 16GB + 1TB = 13999 yuan
Huawei is now working on upcoming devices. Unlike the previously launched handsets, the newbies could bring bigger price value due to the ongoing memory chip problems. How the company will tackle this situation would be worth looking at.
