Huawei has opened a new chapter in the foldable category – the wide-screen model with Pura X Max and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide is coming to rewrite the theory.
In the current landscape, a new cover display guard leak shows a real comparison between the Huawei Pura X Max and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide in terms of width.
X tipster IceUniverse has shared two images, one of which reveals the cover screen protector for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide while the other one highlights its comparison with the Huawei Pura X Max’s tempered glass.
Looking into the comparative image, Pura X Max’s cover screen guard appears to be slightly wider than that of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. But this new comparison also hints at a comfortable hand grip with Samsung’s creation over the Huawei fold.

Another focal point in the image is the height. Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide’s screen guard is taller – just like the previous-generation model, but this time with a small extension in width.
Comparatively, the Huawei Pura X Max cover guard is smaller and wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s screen. Meanwhile, Samsung’s first wide foldable seemingly has a bigger screen and looks way more sleek.
