Huawei will unveil the new SuperNova X1 series watches by the end of this month in China with a dynamic display, supporting probably up to a 120Hz refresh rate. If true, the smartwatch will be providing a flagship smartphone-like viewing experience.
FixedFocus on Weibo revealed that the new smartwatch series has appeared on the 3C network certification. It will debut as a flagship wearable for kids with new features.
Although the eye-catching point is that the Huawei SuperNova X1 watches will bring a 120Hz high refresh rate screen, defeating all other kids-based smartwatches.
Mostly smartwatches support a 30 to 60Hz (maximum) refresh rate, which not only eliminates visual stutter or input lag but also provides buttery-smooth scrolling throughout the menus, crisp animations, and a more responsive touch feedback.

Though it seems Huawei is ready to take this “refresh rate for smartwatches” concept to new heights with its upcoming kids’ wearable. Watch Kids X1 series may bring up to 120Hz refresh rate, which may enhance readability to a greater extent.
If true, it would be the best option if your kids prefer playing outside, under the sun and often find it difficult to check the data or other information in the sunlight.
Excluding the screen refresh rate, the tipster hasn’t revealed any China-exclusive feature for the SuperNova Watch X1 series. Though we may grab more revelations about this wearable lineup as inches closer to the official launch date.
According to the official information, the children’s wearable uses a 1.82-inch AMOLED wide touchscreen with a 480 x 408 pixel resolution. The standard version debuts with a 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM, while the Pro model has 2GB RAM + 64GB of storage. The series has a home button for controls.
