Huawei using advanced tech to drive AI monetization growth

During the MWC Shanghai 2026 event, Huawei introduced some advanced tech solutions that will elevate the growth of AI monetization. The company will use new technologies for network services and computing power to boost data traffic.

According to the details, Huawei has unveiled an AI-centric target network tech architecture to contribute to the AI monetization growth, which contains three key points.

Firstly, a foundational communication network to shift from traffic-based connectivity to real-time interaction with powerful performance. Secondly, a computing network that can offer access to computing resources. Third is an AI computing framework to support high performance, high efficiency, and open-source techs.

The company mentioned that the rapid adoption of AI agents globally is now leading to strong growth of token-based AI services. Besides, there is a raise in demand for ultra-broadband networks that can deliver high uplink throughput, high reliability, and low latency.

Huawei also introduced the U6GHz spectrum as the next strategic frequency band for these services. Over 20 countries are already looking forward to the U6GHz for International Mobile Telecommunications, covering approx. 80% of the globe.

In addition, the company is planning to launch the world’s first commercial 5G-A network coupled with U6GHz spectrum in the Middle East this year.

Underscoring the benefits of AI in transforming mobile networks and overall industry growth, David Wang, the Vice Chairman of Huawei’s board of directors and Rotating Chairman, said:

“Successive generations of mobile communications technology have driven the industry’s success over the past 40 years by continuously improving spectrum efficiency and network performance.”

The executive stated that as network architectures flattened, new application scenarios and services have emerged, expanding the boundaries of telecommunications while enabling operators to convert network capabilities into commercial value.

Wang further revealed six strategies of mobile communications when it enters the intelligence era:

  • Developing new services and capabilities for next-generation mobile communication systems.
  • Building a three-layer intelligence architecture through the convergence of AI and mobile communications.
  • Creating network architectures that integrate satellite and terrestrial communications.
  • Establishing sustainable and future-oriented spectrum planning and allocation.
  • Defining standards for AI-native core networks.
  • Exploring new business models and application scenarios for mobile services.
