Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 is getting a new edition – Racing Legend in an all-new color and with some prominent sports-related features. The company has unveiled the interesting variant at the Now Is Your Spark event in Bangkok, Thailand, today.
Starting with the looks, Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend Edition features a four-color strap. The shades in the AirDry strap include dark blue, a rich red, white, and green. All these colors packed in the nylon strap symbolize some meaning:
- Blue is for Discipline
- Red is for Passion
- White is for Belief
- Green is for Persistence
Just like the standard variant, the new Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend is created in partnership with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge. And this time, both the marathon champion and the company focused on adding new changes to the wearable.

The company mentioned that the watch face of the Racing Legend is unique. It not only remains limited to showing time, date, footsteps, and other simpler details on the watch but also fuels up your journey with real-time insights into your performance.
For instance, you can track your recovery progress with the Running Ability Index (RAI), weekly totals, VO2 Max (maximum amount of oxygen intake in your body), and training index right through the watch face.
In simple words, you don’t have to open a dedicated application, feature, or service to check on your performance status. Just look at your watch, and a glance will give you all the accurate information in one go!
The rest of the features and specifications of the new Racing Legend Edition are the same as those of the standard Watch GT Runner 2.
It supports 20% more accurate positioning, a smart Marathon Mode, Training Assistant, 100+ sports modes, golf courses, comprehensive health management, and 14 days of battery life. The Racing Legend prices €399 in Europe and £349.99 in the UK.
