Xiaomi’s Liquid Glass UI is once again taking shape in the leaks before it can go official with HyperOS 4, and the latest inputs suggest that the company will use AI tools to enhance this interactive design further and make it even more intuitive.
DigitalChatStation on Weibo revealed that Xiaomi’s Liquid Glass UI design will debut with HyperOS 4.0, based on Android 17, with some interesting AI-based features.
Liquid Glass UI came into existence with iOS 26. Xiaomi has been in the news for adopting this feature with HyperOS 3. But Huawei did it sooner with HarmonyOS 6.1.
The respective UI feature is a fluid, dynamic interface design language that offers a translucent, glass-like design on the home screen and reflects the background colors in real-time. It is a whole new experience to watch on your smartphone.
In the latest edition, Xiaomi’s Liquid Glass UI preparations are going in full swing. The tipster says that the new HyperOS software iteration will bring a brand-new light field interaction user interface that will support AI adaptive color picking and glass material.

Here, AI color picking could refer to the process where the device’s system will scan the colors of the wallpapers and background, and then pick more suitable shades.
Simply put, the company will further refine the Liquid Glass UI with better depth, transparency, impressive lighting effects, color adaptation, and smoother visuals.
