Android 17 stable version will likely go official in June or July this year, and Xiaomi will follow this timeline with its self-developed HyperOS 4, unveiling it probably by August. A leak has also revealed the first batch of devices for the new iteration.
Xiaomi has recently revealed its latest earnings in every business. During the revelation, the company announced that HyperOS 4 will be released in July or August.
“A new generation OS will be released in July or August this year, bringing a different interactive experience. The entire industry is facing a significant transformation.”
DigitalChatStation has now added more insights to this topic by revealing the first batch of devices for the HyperOS 4.0 upgrade. As per the leak, the OEM will begin the closed beta version at first, coming to public testing, and then a stable rollout.
While the Xiaomi 18 series can be the ultimate flagship to bring the new OS version – HyperOS 4 to the stage, these could be the following devices to get the upgrade first:

- Xiaomi 17 Pro Max
- Xiaomi 17 Ultra

Lu Weibing, the President and Partner of Xiaomi Group, revealed that the company will advance its high-end and globalization strategy on the one hand, while resolutely reshaping the mobile phone business with AI. He also stated:
“We cannot simply pass on the rising memory costs to consumers; we need to reposition our products. The company will soon achieve a balance between scale and profit through product matrix upgrades and software optimization.”
