OpenHarmony 7.0 Beta 1 has recently appeared on GitCode, suggesting that the HarmonyOS 7.0 software upgrade is on its way and will soon hit the user platform.
GitCode is an open-source developer and cost-hosting platform, based on AI and cloud tech. It acts as an alternative to GitHub, allowing tech enthusiasts and developers to manage repositories, collaborate on projects, and share code.
According to the details, the new OpenHarmony beta version on GitCode is showing that the API version has been upgraded to 26. The company already launched a recruitment program for its developers regarding the new API beta version.

Perhaps the Chinese tech giant is busy readying the next major software build for its device owners and will unveil the first look at this version next month.
Huawei has confirmed to host the HDC 2026 event from June 12 to June 14. It will, of course, talk about new strategies, breakthroughs in the AI and OS sectors, and may showcase HarmonyOS 7.0 for its devices following a closed beta launch.
