Xiaomi 17 Max is finally official in China and launched with many surprising parameters. Being a flagship device, it claims to offer the best experience to users in terms of photography, performance, user interface, battery life, and many other aspects.

Starting with the design – the Xiaomi 17 Max follows the signature look with a four-curved frame, a squarish camera bump on the back, and ultra-elliptical large corners. The smartphone debuted in three shades: White, Sky Blue, and Pixel Black.

The device features a 6.9-inch flat screen with 2K resolution. The company has used SuperPixel Technology, which makes it more power-efficient than a 1.5K screen. Besides, Xiaomi 17 Max features a special Sunlight Display with M10 material.
As a result, it provides a peak brightness of 3500 nits. For protection, the tech giant has used the third-generation Dragon Crystal Glass that offers 20 times better drop resistance. Other features include 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM Dimming.

Xiaomi has used the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset for the newly launched flagship phone. It also adopts a 3D ring-shaped cold pump heat dissipation system that can run games like Genshin Impact at extremely high graphics settings.
In addition, it can maintain a full frame rate for 5.7 hours. Tech capabilities like stereo dual speakers and Xiaomi Star Communication make the gaming and connectivity more reliable for users. It has 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage.
Camera Setup
For the first time, the OEM has used a Leica-powered triple camera setup with the first Leica 200MP main camera + ultra-high transmittance pyramid coating and a 1/1.4″ large sensor that supports the 200MP multi-frame fusion computing.

Apart from a 200MP lens, Xiaomi 17 Max imaging system includes a 50MP ultrawide-angle with EIS and a 50MP 1/2-inch periscope telephoto sensor with 3x golden portrait focal length, 6x optical lossless zoom, and 15cm macro close-up shots. The front side has a 32MP selfie snapper.
Xiaomi 17 Max packs an 8000mAh battery, supporting 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Price and Availability
Xiaomi 17 Max is currently open for pre-order and will be available for sale on May 25. The flagship phone will wear the following price tags:

- 12GB + 512GB = 4899 yuan
- 16GB + 512GB = 5299 yuan
