Huawei Nova 16 series leaks are pacing up on the internet, capturing its main camera, lens arrangement, design, and chipset details. And in the current scene, a new piece of information has cleared the air on the imaging sensors of the upcoming phones.
FixedFocus noted that the Huawei Nova 16 rumors are now counting on a new main camera with a 1/1.3-inch sensor. It may have OV50D 2e pixels, a 50MP wide-angle primary lens to improve image quality, reduce noise, and make every shot clearer.
OmniVision OV50D is a 50MP/ 12.5MP CMOS sensor with PureCel Plus-S stacked die technology to boost low-light performance and high-resolution imaging. It uses a 4-cell binning process to enhance images even in dim-light scenarios.
For comparison, the Huawei Nova 15 series adopts a 50MP RYYB Ultra Vision main camera with an f/1.9 aperture and a 1/1.56-inch sensor size. It supports AIS (AI Image Stabilization) and QPD (Quad Phase Detection) for full-pixel precise autofocus.
Another tipster suggested that the Nova 16 series will feature a 50MP zoom camera + 1 .5MP multispectral sensor (probably the first-generation lens). At the same time, the company is also planning a special Nova 10th Anniversary model for consumers.

Being a mid-ranger smartphone lineup, the Nova 16 series may not bring any big changes in terms of the imaging setup. Though the company will likely optimize the camera sensors, enhancing the overall mobile photography experience.
Design and battery will be another highlight of the Nova 16 series. It may skip the giant rectangular camera bump that appeared with the previous-gen model and adopt a unique setup once again. Meanwhile, the battery part could exceed 6500mAh!
