Honor demonstrates ‘rotating camera feature’ of ROBOT PHONE

Honor ROBOT PHONE showed up at the MWC 2026 stage with a rotating camera, and now the company has officially revealed how this imaging setup actually works in real life. It has also shared a demonstration video, unveiling the top cam features.

Looking at the video, the Honor ROBOT PHONE rotating camera is quite easy to operate. It requires just a few simple clicks and swipes to move the gimbal accordingly.

Aaron – Honor Imaging System Expert demonstrates the all-new ROBOT PHONE. He shows that swiping left in the camera app turns on the iconic gimbal mode.

Hereafter, the device unlocks the large camera folded arm mechanism as well as enables photo + video recording. Aaron further shot a rotating shot in the hallway. The video appeared quite stable and smooth, just like a regular smartphone.

Further, Aaron took the ROBOT PHONE in his hands, stood in front of the mirror, and started shaking it to and fro. Despite constant movements, the motorized flip lens was stuck in its position and didn’t remove the focus from the mirror.

The Chinese phone maker has used the industry’s smallest 4DoF gimbal system for the ROBOT PHONE. This mechanism has several micro motors and comes in 70% smaller size than the mainstream solutions of the industry.

As shown at the MWC event, Honor ROBOT PHONE is quite easy to use in every aspect, including its camera traits. It can even dance with you to your favorite music, and can backflip its head, and do a lot more without skipping the focus from you.
