Huawei has a new flagship tablet in the pipeline which recently cleared the 3C certification, and it has now been spotted on the NearLink database, confirming better connectivity. The new listing suggests this MatePad model will soon show up on the launch stage.
Interrnational Starlight Alliance – NearLink certification database has revealed two Huawei MatePad tablet variants with the model numbers GEM-W09 and GEM-W00.
The company has started the pre-launch testing of the mysterious MatePad tablet model. And it looks like the new device will soon make its way to the consumer platform.
As per the info, the tablet qualified for a NearLink suite test that includes SLE radio frequency conformance testing, basic service layer protocol conformance testing, HID protocol conformance testing, and high-definition audio protocol conformance testing.
Details suggest that the upcoming top-tier tablet will now support NearLink Audio Transmission feature. Notably, this is the first Huawei MatePad device to support the respective capability.

NearLink Audio Transmission is the next-gen, high-performance wireless protocol. It offers 8 higher audio transmission rates and 60% lower latency compared to Bluetooth.
On the greener side, the NearLink Audio Transmission feature can support up to 24-bit/48kHz lossless sound quality with superior connectivity even in crowded places. One can get a 16 Mbps physical transmission rate with L2HC HD audio support.
Speaking of the device’s identity, neither Huawei nor the certificate site has revealed the name of this mysterious tablet yet. However, the company recently teased a new MatePad model for the global launch, suspected as the MatePad Pro Max.
Since this tablet is also making headlines as a flagship model, there is a chance that it can be the MatePad Pro Max. Though we have to wait for an official announcement on this subject.
