Honor phones to get a redesigned status bar this month

It’s May 1st and Honor will soon release its new software update for eligible devices with a redesigned status bar. The company has shared a long update poster on the Chinese social media, showing what it is bringing for its users this month.

The Chinese tech giant rolls out a huge software update for its devices every month. In April, Honor introduced YOYO AI enhancements to phones, tablets, and foldables.

And this month, Honor is bringing some new changes to the UI segment, like a redesigned status bar. MagicOS 10 device owners will observe revamped icons on the topmost strip of the phone’s screen in terms of time, battery level, network, and more.

Honor is specifically making shifts in the battery icon style and the charging status icon when in the power-saving mode. Eventually, these labels will be more recognizable after the new update.

Defining the changes, Honor says:

The status bar icons have been completely revamped, the battery icon style has been optimized and upgraded, and the charging status and the power-saving mode are displayed more intuitively and at a glance.”

Apart from a redesigned status bar, the company is also bringing a special AI-powered expense tracking feature, so you can have a clear idea of how much money is being spent. Another newbie is an automatic folder naming to avoid confusion.

On the other hand, Honor will bring improvements to the devices running on MagicOS 9.0. It will begin releasing the new firmware in the coming days. Stay tuned.
