Huawei Kirin 9050 series will debut with the flagship Mate devices this year, and it looks like the company could follow the same dual chip approach as the Kirin 9030 line with a standard and Pro version. A new leak hints at this subject briefly.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus mentioned that the 2026 Kirin chip might deal with a shortage in the initial phase. As usual, the Mate lineup could see a tight production.
Following the leak, netizens began putting forth their questions in the comments section. One of them asked if the new leak is about XRING 03 or Kirin 9050 Pro?
In response, another netizen said that its Kirin 2026 chipset series. That says Huawei might launch two chips in this year’s Kirin 9050 mobile SoC lineup: Standard and Pro.
The company introduced the concept of two flagship Kirin processors last year with the Mate 80 series – Kirin 9030 and 9030 Pro. Perhaps the OEM will continue this practice with the upcoming mobile chip line to cover all types of premium phones.
While shedding light on the LogicFolding Architecture and Tau Scaling Law, Huawei didn’t mention whether the 2026 Kirin chip will bring a single variant or a Pro version as well. But based on the latest leak, it seems we may see two chipsets.
Another netizen asked what processor the company will use in the new MINI 2 tablet. In response, another tipster said that the device could rely on one of the Kirin 9020 series SoCs.
Kirin 9050 series chipset is said to be cheaper than Qualcomm’s premium or sub-flagship mobile processors. Though other details are still unclear on this matter. Stay tuned.
