Huawei Mate 80 series has crossed over 5 million units within five months, and the flagship lineup is now making its way to the 6 million sales milestone. Despite new launches, the 2025 Mate phones continue to gain traction in the consumer market.
Smartphone market analyst @RDObservation reported that the Huawei Mate 80 series has started inching towards the 6 million sales mark. The company has sold over 5 million Mate handsets to date, and this figure will soon touch new heights.
Details reveal that the company has shipped 5.7816 million units of the Mate 80 series up to the 18th week of this year. It means the weekly sales of the top-tier lineup have increased by 150000 or 200000 units.
The Mate 80 family consists of four models: Standard, Pro, Pro Max, and the RS Ultimate Design. Among all these, the vanilla variant has been the highest-selling phone in the market for two months straight – thanks to Huawei’s pricing strategy.

Hereafter, Huawei started the 30-day pre-order subscription for the Mate 80 Pro Max and RS Ultimate models. As soon as the production of these flagships increased, they began gaining traction in the market with a 10+ million shipment prediction.
In the current edition, the Huawei Pura 90 series has joined the market and is showing great performance in terms of sales. It has already shipped over 170000 units within 5 days of its official release.
- Huawei Pura 90 Pro phones sold 170000 units in 5 days of release
- Huawei Pura 90 series shipped 1.5 times more units than Pura 80
It would be interesting to see whether the Mate 80 series continues to garner traction in the coming months or if Huawei’s new launches will steal the spotlight.
