Huawei has taken a big safety measure towards its device users and integrated an improved “Earthquake Early Alerts” service to all of its mobile phones. The new feature implementation will help every user to get notified before a natural disaster hits the place.
According to the information, Huawei cooperated with the China Earthquake Early Warning Network Institute to bring the respective alerts service to all of its mobile phones.
With this implementation, Huawei has become the first brand in the industry to get full-model, full-system version access to the Chinese unified earthquake early alerts.
These warnings are directly established by the authoritative data and standard information guidelines by the China Earthquake Administration. As a result, Huawei devices get emergency protection right through the core tech solutions.
Inputs reveal that the new earthquake safety measures have authoritative, unified, stable, reliable, and wide-coverage benefits for hundreds or millions of device users.
Huawei launched a special project in February 2026 to implement the unified earthquake alert service on its devices. By April 17, the company had officially completed the integration, offering a more secure experience in emergencies.
According to the information, the new earthquake early alerts trigger multi-dimensional reminders within seconds. One can receive the service through reminder cards, text broadcasts, and alarm sounds, showing the epicenter location, earthquake magnitude, estimated damage intensity, and estimated arrival time.
How to access?
One can activate the feature if their phones are running on HarmonyOS 4.3 or above versions. HarmonyOS 5.0 phone users can visit Settings > System > Emergency Warning Notification. Meanwhile, 4.3 version device users have to ensure that the Location Service is on.
