Huawei Watch Fit 5 series goes official with bigger display, smarter sports features

Huawei finally dropped the curtain on the new-generation sports smartwatches today – the Watch FIT 5 series, revealing its official look and several incredible features. The lineup debuts with noteworthy upgrades not only in terms of looks but also in the sports and health segment.

So without any ado, let’s jump into the official specs of the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series.

First things first – the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series contains only two models: Standard and the Pro variant. There is no Ultra variant in this lineup, for now at least!

Watch Fit 5 series continues to feature a square dial face, resembling a new and tougher competitor for the Apple Watch Series. Although the company has made changes to the straps this time, adding a special orange and lime yellow + white shade.

Standard Watch Fit 5 has five colors: Black, White, Green, Off White, and a dual-tone Yellow + White strap variant. It has a 9.5mm ultra-thin body and weighs nearly 27 grams. Meanwhile, the Pro model follows the three-color strategy with Orange, Black, and White.

Display: Huawei Watch Fit 5 equips the same 1.82-inch AMOLED screen with 2500 nits maximum brightness, up from 2000 nits. On the flip side, the Watch Fit 5 Pro comes with a 1.92-inch LTPO flexible display with 3000-nit peak brightness.

Watch Fit 5 Pro further supports 13.5% improved breathability in straps with a weight reduction of 16%. Both models have 1.8mm ultra-narrow bezels like no other smartwatch.

Health & Sports

Huawei has launched a special “wrist-worn” micro-sports app for anytime training. Cute panda pets will be your trainer and help you to enjoy your workout instead of giving up!

The company has also added Running Mode to the Watch Fit 5 series with analog power mode, improved cadence status, fall detection, and a special Cycling Mode.

Watch Fit 5 series also brings a rich sports experience with six new apps like Tennix, Strike Pro for badminton, Pickle X for basketball, and more. Moreover, Huawei has upgraded the health assistant for the new wearables with 6LED + 6PD PPG modules that help users to understand their health better.

Tech features like TruSense Health System, ECG, and blood sugar health sensors are also available in the Watch Fit 5 series. Thus, the wearable meets your basic and advanced needs anytime and anywhere.

Battery: Huawei Watch Fit 5 series supports 7 days of battery life in typical use and 10 days of battery life in light usage. The Pro variant also supports 60-minute wireless super-fast charging.

Price and Availability

Huawei Watch Fit 5 will enter the pre-sale lane on April 20, and the official sale will begin on April 29. On the other hand, the Pro model will step into the pre-sale by April 29, and the purchase time is set for May 15. You can check the pricing details of these wearables below.
